Jio Cinema breaks all time record , ready to take the platform on global level

Jio viewership has boomed, setting a benchmark for Entertainment and OTT space

With the concluding season of the Indian premier league, the official digital streaming partner, Jio Cinema clocked the highest viewership ever of 1300 Crore in the first 5 weeks.
The final of Tata IPL, Chennai super king vs Gujarat Titans saw live viewership of 2.5 crore, making history for the most number of concurrent viewership.


A platform that was launched on 5 September 2016 along with multiple public platforms of Jio like Jio Meet, jio tv, jio meet and many more.

Being persistent throughout the journey, platform was restricted to their jio Network users but In 2022 seeing the success of the platform it has been opened to all networks.


Jio Cinema is becoming global , taking on global streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney with acquisition of IPL ’23 and premium content from Hollywood.

Disney and HBO called off their partnership on 31 March,2023. While Grabbing Reliance Viacom18 had deal with HBO where it’s famous shows like Games of throne would be streamed.

Jio had become partnered to become streaming partner with various famous Bollywood films like Dasvi, Bhediya.

India having population approximately 140 crore relying on internet , where youngster as well as adult started to sweep on OTT space .

‘What we witnessed through Tata IPL 2023 is testimony of the faith viewers have shown in Jio Cinema offering to make the league more accessible , affordable and in unique first time cricket broadcast languages including Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Oriya, Gujarati’ said CEO Anil Jayraj .

Ever since its success, Jio has started to release new features in it’s page like 12 different languages option, high quality content and high power audio

Jio Cinema global ranking has been upgraded from 8,990to 219 from last few months. It is expected that jio would double its market price by 2027.
